Introduction to the Agricultural Marketing Centre

Hungary established its own community marketing organisation, the Agricultural Marketing Centre in 1996.
As an institution operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, AMC intends to actively contribute to the agricultural participants' market penetration and the creation of a high-standard support to sales.
The company's assignments include:
support to the sale of Hungarian agricultural
products in Hungary and abroad,
using community marketing elements,
dissemination of modern commercial methods,
and the enhancement of a marketing approach in
the Hungarian food economy,
shaping the country's supply of agricultural products,
increasing the exportability of Hungarian goods,
facilitating the market activities of producers, especially
small- and medium-sized businesses, manufacturers
and distributors, and increasing their competitiveness,
support to regional development and marketing
programmes,
strengthening the more efficient use of government
subsidies.
Our objectives are:
to make a substantial contribution to the improvement of marketing culture in agriculture and the wide acceptance and practice of efficient marketing,
to realise the company's annual programme compiled on the basis of professional considerations at a high standard, in a cost-efficient manner and with measurable efficiency, and
to further improve the image of Hungarian agricultural produces.
